Camouflaging Blotchy Skin
Having clean clear skin is essential to looking great and healthy. However, there are times when blemishes appear and the skin appears blotchy. When you have blotchy skin, you may appear to have red marks or rashes on your skin. This can either appear on the skin of your face of even on your arms or all over your body.
If you get blotchy skin, you must first try to uncover the cause of the condition. Oftentimes, the blotches and imperfections on your skin may appear as a result of stress. Some people have rashes when they are angry or when they feel excited or show strong emotion. On the other hand, there are cases when the blotchiness appears due to a medical condition such as high blood pressure or perhaps an imbalance with your hormones. In some cases, the blotchy skin may be the result of allergies, especially to seafood or shellfish.
In these cases, it’s best to manage stress so that it doesn’t manifest on your skin. Also, you should get a regular check up from your doctor simply to rule out other medical complications that may be causing the blotchy skin.
If the redness appears on your face, you can use makeup to help even out your skin tone. Using a good green based concealer may help reduce the appearance of red marks and other imperfections on your skin. Using a good foundation will also help. Choose a foundation that is the same color as your general skin tone so that you have a perfect match. Set everything with loose powder.
Also, if your skin is less than perfect, take measures to divert the eye, such as by focusing on your eye makeup or on your full lips. Avoid using too much blush and always choose products that are non comedogenic and hypoallergenic.
